The role of cooling water in die casting molds

Release time:2020-08-07

For the production of die-casting molds, mold steel is generally used, and then processed through special production. No matter how perfect the mold is, there are limits to its use. In order to be durable, pay attention to small details. If the temperature of the mold is too high, the surface of the mold core is prone to fracture, and some molds even thermally expand and contract, which directly breaks. Some because the temperature is too high, the color of the mold core changes, once in this state with the mold release agent, cracks occur. When such a die-casting mold is used for production, it is easy to cause defects such as deformation and cracks of the die-casting part.

Under the correct production conditions, the use of cooling water for die-casting molds not only improves the service life of the molds, but also reduces the occurrence of safety accidents. In actual production, many factory employees find it troublesome not to connect the cooling water pipes in order to save trouble. In normal times, not using cooling water can be harmful to factories and individuals.

The use of cooling water in the die casting mold can effectively reduce the temperature and avoid the trouble caused by the use of a release agent. The use of cooling water to cool down has many advantages: reducing the occurrence of sticky molds, reducing the time for die casting, and improving the service life.
